Oggi, 4 novembre, più di 3000 studentesse e studenti, provenienti da 68 scuole superiori e 55 città, si sono incontrati online per la Giornata Internazionale dei Raggi Cosmici.
Il Prof. Stefano Ragazzi, direttore dei Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso, dopo 8 anni alla guida della struttura di ricerca internazionale, termina il suo mandato e passerà il testimone al nuovo Direttore. Ezio Previtali, 57 anni, a partire da domani 15 ottobre assumerà infatti la Direzione dei Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso.
Gran Sasso Videogame sarà presente al Rome VideoGame Lab, evento dedicato al mondo del videogioco, che si terrà a Cinecittà dal 4 al 7 novembre in un'edizione speciale on line avente come tema il rapporto tra scienza e videogame.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Nobel Prize in Physics 2020 with one half to Roger Penrose “for the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity" and and the other half jointly to Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez "for the discovery of a supermassive compact object at the centre of our galaxy".
