B. Schwingenheuer - First data release from GERDA Phase II

In December 2015 data taking of Phase II of GERDA started.
The first data set covering the period until beginning of June was unblinded and an updated half-life for neutrinoless double beta decay of 76Ge extracted.
The performance of the experiment and the result will be presented.
